Founded by Brazilian-Latina filmmaker Juliana Curi, ANINGA is a creative studio for cultural shifts. ANINGA's mission is to prove that artistic excellence and social change not only coexist—they thrive together. We champion non-extractive narratives, placing diverse voices at the heart of stories that are both artful and relevant. At a time when many turn away from impact and diversity, we continue. Because multiple perspectives fuel ideas, because culture and business need new visions, and because relevant, thought-provoking stories—and the people who bring them to life—deserve nothing less.

At ANINGA Studio, we are driven by two key initiatives:

  1. ANINGA Lab
The Lab is a mentorship program designed to integrate talents from underrepresented groups into the workforce. Since its launch in January 2021, it has provided regular sessions focused on professional development and career advancement within a supportive environment.

This initiative aims to address historical inequalities and expand access to the film industry for women, Black, Indigenous, and LGBTQIA+ professionals from socio-economically vulnerable communities in Latin America. The program serves as a platform for amplifying diverse, powerful, and essential voices in the industry.

  2. ANINGA Stories
In this division, we create, develop, and craft films, TV, campaigns, content, and art that challenge, inspire, and reframe culture, merging creative excellence with artistic sophistication. Our teams are built on intersectional diversity.

Meaning: ANINGA is named after a plant from the tropical forests of South America, known for its large leaves, deep roots, and role in maintaining ecological balance. As a bioindicator, it identifies areas needing care and filters pollutants, symbolizing our commitment to nurturing diverse storytelling and contributing to a balanced ecosystem in the arts.
