The Battle of the Body is an art installation created by Juliana Curi, Maria Eugenia Cordero and Micaela Cyrino that addresses the issue of HIV/AIDS. At meetings that were named “Voices and Weaves”, collaborators, all, of whom had some sort of a relationship with HIV or AIDS, came together to work and reflect together, creating new fabrics, weaves, warps, biases, textures and meshes that strengthen the ideas and possibilities for struggle, opening up another path for art as a possibility of transformation. The fruit of this dialogue is found in the process and the interventions incorporated into the Battle of the Body installation.
